One of the Green Hydrogen Business Alliance’s key activities is to enable the dialogue between important stakeholders of the PtX-value chain and the public sector.

Dialogue and information events help to scope the green hydrogen sector towards a profitable but also sustainable market ramp-up of green hydrogen and Power-to-X.

Hydrogen-Enterprises in Dialogue with BMZ and BMWK

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) the Green Hydrogen Business Alliance in cooperation with Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) invited exclusively to a dialogue event on 21 March 2024 in Berlin.

After a presentation of a selection of H2 support mechanisms, representatives of the private sector had the chance to get into direct dialogue with government representatives from BMZ and BMWK.

More than 140 participants from the private and public sector enriched the exchange and debated on the most pressing needs for a successful and sustainable market ramp-up of green H2 and PtX that benefits the market participants as well as the partner countries.

PtX-Masterclasses in Namibia

Since September 2023, the Green Hydrogen Business Alliance is piloting its H2 Project Support Unit in Namibia. In this framework, we conduct masterclasses to support awareness raising and in-depth understanding of green hydrogen and Power-to-X. The first workshops already took place.

The masterclasses are designed for different target groups. Those in the mining towns of Oranjemund and Rosh Pinah, for example, attracted thirty participants, including representatives from municipalities, mining industry professionals, teachers, and various SME owners.

In the upcoming months, we will invite to further masterclasses for different target groups.

Roadshow PtX-Reference Plant Morocco

Green hydrogen projects in Morocco are feasible and bankable! This was underlined by Tarik Hamane, CEO of the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) at their Roadshow-Event in Berlin on 13 July hosted by the Green Hydrogen Business Alliance. The project is part of the German Moroccan Hydrogen Partnership and a milestone in international development cooperation as well as the market ramp-up of green hydrogen and power-to-x as highlighted by Benjamin Knoedler, Head of Department “Private Sector Engagement” at BMZ and Ellen von Zitzewitz, Deputy Head of Department, responsible for the energy and climate partnerships at BMWK.

The roadshow enabled a close dialogue between the private sector, the project sponsor Masen and the project financier KfW with the goal of a predictable and transparent environment in the upcoming tender process with the least possible risks for private stakeholders.
